The speedometer in my 1992 Dodge ram 150 doesn't work. Where do I start looking?

It sometimes works,however the odometer doesn't. When it is not working,(speedometer),I have no cruise control or overdrive. I checked all the grounds I could find and cleaned them, but to no avail.
