These are great ways to meet a potential girlfriend, but also to meet friends! I would make sure to join things that you are interesed in, not just things you see as "chick magnets." Also, I wouldn't make it too obvious that you are only looking for a girlfriend. Start looking for friends, and you should find a girlfriend without trying too hard.
