Why is this happening to me, Im taking BC pills?

Im taking BC pills (Yasmin) because of a hormonal imbalance and I have noticed that my kinda hurt a little..is this normal or should I consult my doctor as soon as possible? My mom said that happened to her and her doctor said it was just hormones causing it..but Im only 19 years old..is this normal for a 19 year old?
