Whats wrong with me is this normal please help ASAP!!?

I'm not a doctor or anything but the same thing kinda happened to me last summer. First everything went black, then when I tried to speak everything I was trying to say wasn't coming out and it was just random words. Then my whole right arm went numb, and I got this awful headache! My mom took me too the doctors and they thought it was a Mini Stroke. I was only 15 at the time so they weren't positive. They took me in an abulence to the ER, and after 9 hours of my head feeling like it was exploding they told me it was, a type of migraine. Like I said I'm no doctor, but maybe you should try sitting in a quiet dark room, with a wash clothe on your head. That always helps me after about an hour.
