IF the first trimester is the most important, why won't the doctor see you until 8-10 weeks?

I know what you mean!!! I'm pregnant with my second child, but it's still nerve wracking none-the-less. Now I have to wait 3-4 weeks before an ob will see me. I know with my daughter I found out at 8 weeks so they did an ultrasound right there and saw the heartbeat and what not. So that one was like smooth sailing, I guess when you find out earlier it feels like it takes twice as long. Best of luck to you!!!!
